Arthur Bruce Smith
April 14, 1959 - June 20, 2014

Bruce was born in Punta Gorda, Florida on April 14, 1959 and moved to Sarasota at the age of 6 months, where he has remained a lifelong resident. He worked in the area for many years as a Certified Arborist Practitioner and International Arboriculture Instructor. Bruce was an avid wood turner and woodworker, creating nearly 100 pieces of art, vessels, and furniture.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 23 years, Lita Sciturro-Smith; children Megan L. Smith and future son in law Ryan Prue, both of Vero Beach, Taylor S. Smith of Sarasota, and Stephanie Sciturro-Smith of Sarasota; brother William Smith and his wife Judi of Sarasota; Sister Jayne Stanton of Sarasota; father in law Sam Sciturro of Osprey; and mother in law Judy Sciturro of Bradenton.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Dorothy Smith.

Memorial donations may be made in Bruce's name to the Florida ALS Association or Tidewell Hospice.
