He is survived by his wife, Lisa; two sons, Dylan and Kyle; two brothers, David of Raleigh, North Carolina; Doug of Roanoke, Virginia; his parents, Royal and Avis Bechtold of Sarasota. A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, February 28 at 5:00, Turtle Beach Pavilion. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Take Stock in Children for the Daniel A Bechtold Memorial Scholarship.

I was one of Danny's nurses treating him for his lymphoma and although I knew him in high school I really got to know him as I treated him he was really great guy . He had really nice parents a loving wife and two great boys it's amazing how you get to know somebody I wish I'd known him like that in high school
